Cast Partial Dentures

Fabrication of the lower cast partial denture using gel duplication

Preparation for gel duplication

Working steps of the lower cast partial denture

The lower model, as described in part 2a, is prepared for gel duplication.
High quality gel duplicating materials such as Dublitop® are a good alternative to duplicating silicone.

The prepared model is soaked in a water bath until no more air bubbles are released from the model surface.

Warm water guarantees even cooling of the duplicating material without shrinkage!

If bubbles are still released, this means the model was not soaked sufficiently. Leave the model in the water for approximately 20 to 30 minutes according to the plaster quality.
