Fabrication of the refractory model

Here the setting expansion is clearly visible. The soft silicone material does not restrict this process, instead it curves to accommodate.

After a setting time of 30 min has elapsed, the refractory model can be removed.

The model is placed for a further 30 min into a drying chamber at approx. 100 °C. Adapting the wax pattern is far easier on a completely dry model!
