Universal paste opaque
Well covered surface using only a thin layer.
Opaque layer
1. Apply an even opaque layer using a short haired brush.
The 2nd opaque layer is used to correct parts not entirely covered by the first.
Observe the start temperature and drying times!
Advice:
In general, when paste opaque is used the drying times must be maintained! Observe the low stand-by temperature and adequate drying times recommended in the firing program!
Opaque bake
Transfer the firing programs to the ceramic furnace to be used!
Clean the framework under running water after every firing!
Brushing the framework under running water removes the soluble oxides. This prevents a greenish / yellow discolouration from occurring in the ceramic, especially in the transition areas.
Ensure the opaque covers the metal well in the marginal region!
An even, silky matt opaque layer shows the firing temperature was correct.
