Advice:

The correct time to cast can be observed when the casting cylinders crumble together and the molten metal begins to move under the pressure of the flame. When melting with the torch, the oxide skin must not be allowed to tear.

Adjusting the burner

A correctly adjusted burner with an approx. 5mm long flame (propane – oxygen)

Propane = 1 bar
Oxygen = approx. 2 to 3 bar
