1. Keramikschichtung und Brand

CCS Ceramic system

  • easy layering technique
  • short firing times
  • excellent shade and material stability.

Layered build-up with dentine.

Ceramic build-up

The stable standing quality of the CCS ceramic material makes the build-up easy.

Tip:

It is possible to use either a brush or a modelling instrument to apply and build-up the ceramic material. The “Big Brush” with its finely shaped point allows an even flow of liquid to infiltrate the ceramic. Bear in mind that the ceramic build-up must be larger than the final size required in order to compensate for ceramic contraction during firing!

Cut back the dentine to allow for the incisal material.

Apply the incisal material.

The various layers of dentine and incisal material

Simple layering technique.

Anatomical shape before the first dentine bake.

Separate interdentally in order to avoid material stress within the bridge during firing.

Use a honeycomb firing tray for optimal heat transmission (keeps the heat away from the framework).

1. Dentine bake

Many remanium® alloys require long cooling times after a dentine bake.

Advice:

Read the instructions for use to see whether the alloy in question requires long cooling after the 1st ceramic bake. Select the long cooling program in your particular firing furnace and allow to cool down to 500°C! (Minimum of 7min after the final temperature has been reached).

Minimal shrinkage of CCS ceramic after the 1st bake.

Clean under running water after every dentine bake in order to avoid discolouration.

Grind the surface using diamond sintered burs.
