The bridge framework
Advice: With an accurate impression, an exact reproduction of the master model is absolutely essential for further work.
Production of wax or acrylic copings
Die Preparation using “Die Lube”
Tip:
Apply the separating agent “Die Lube” just before dipping – better isolation effect!
From the Star Wax family
Star Wax D – dipping wax – very elastic, low contraction, dipping wax.
Ideal wax temperature: 90°C
Dip the isolated die into the wax bath quickly, for approx. 1 second.
Acrylic copings made with Folident – foil coping adapter system
Consisting of:
The spacer foil (0.1 mm) above and coping foil (0.6 mm) are clamped into foil holder.
Heat the foil over a Bunsen burner using circular movements.
Advice:
As soon as the foil becomes transparent the die can be pressed into the elastic clay in the mould pot.
Production of a Folident coping
The die is quickly pressed into the elastic clay.
Once the foil is cool the die is removed and coping cut out. The thin spacer foil is cut back adequately and the coping foil is placed over the top and shortened by approx. 1mm from the margin.
spacer foil or spacer lacquer is applied to provide enough gap for the cement later and guarantees an even fit of the crown!
StarWax C – exact reproduction of the cervical margin
Apply the separating agent "Die Lube" and wax the margin with Star Wax C – cervical wax.
