Framework design

Different Frameworks

Determine the amount of metal required according to the type of preparation, bite ratio and patient requests.

Framework design for the ceramic build-up

  • Rounded connections
  • Add on to compensate for excess space (max. 2 mm ceramic thickness)

Palatinal metal collar for:

  • Exact marginal edge
  • Stabilization of the framework
  • Interdental - vestibular separation possibility
  • Heat diversion during ceramic firing

Rounded edges and connections.

Designing the connections

The metal framework should be of anatomical tooth shape in a reduced form.

There is greater stability when the size of the connection is increased in a vertical direction instead of horizontally.

Both the cross section of the connection and the coping thickness requirements are approx. 25% less for remanium® alloys than for precious metal alloys.

Bridge wax-up

Star Waxes enable easy wax-ups and provide a high degree of accuracy.
