Use pure aluminium oxide - 125μm – to clean the framework.
Finishing the framework
Cut through the casting sprues using a nylon reinforced separating disc and a holder.
Grind the casting sprue stumps using an aluminium oxide cutting wheel, without contaminating the metal surface, in preparation for bonding with ceramic.
Cross cut hard metal burs
Super hard metal burs from Dentaurum guarantee quick and effective metal removal of metal with remanium® alloys.
Finishing the metal surface using a cross cut hard metal bur.
Advice:
Always use a previously applied grinding instrument on the same types of alloy - especially prior to ceramic bonding!
Check the wall thickness using a measuring gauge.
The wall thickness of a finished framework should not be less than 0.2 mm.
The metal collar and parts bordering onto the ceramic build-up must be finished tidily.
Checking the framework
The metal framework fits accurately due to the exact expansion control of the investment material.
